1799 Draped Bust Dollar 7x6 Stars PCGS AU55 CAC

When was the last time you saw a Draped Bust Dollar with unmolested surfaces and luster? This 1799 Dollar exhibits some pleasant and strong luster underneath those crusty surfaces. Pewter and slate gray fields add to the allure of owning such a prime example of Early US coinage. Hints of wear on the cheek and neck on the obverse confirm that it is an AU coin, otherwise we could have seen this in a higher grade holder. Fantastic eye appeal for an extremely difficult to find CAC’d early dollar. This coin was purchased directly out of auction by us for $14,400 in August of 2024 on Heritage Auctions.

While unattributed on the slab, the variety is B-10, BB-163, R.2.
